Some Will, Some Won’t, So What… Drip!

Filed under: Network Marketing Training, Social Media for Network Marketers

Hey fellow networkers!

If you’ve been in this business for more than a couple months, then you’ve probably heard this expression:

“Some will, some won’t, so what…  NEXT!”

Well, I have some news for you…   whoever said that (and whoever practices it) is losing a lot of money by not properly keeping in touch with those in the “some won’t” category.

dripLet me explain.

With things like social media platforms, blogs, and email so easily available to people today, the only time you should ever truly say “NEXT” and forget about someone is if they flat out tell you they never want to hear from you again (and if that happens you need to re-evaluate your prospecting methods).

Instead, you should be saying this…

“Some will, some won’t, so what…  DRIP!”

If someone isn’t ready to join your business today, it doesn’t mean they won’t be ready in a month or a year or even in 5 years.  But if you don’t have a system that provides useful information on a regular basis to those who tell you “not now”, then you are wasting a ton of great prospects.

Smart business owners today (in MLM or any other industry) have mastered the art of dripping on prospects and keeping them in the process for an extended period of time- greatly increasing their chances of converting that prospect into a customer or, in your case, a new team member.

Here are 6 key times when you should be “dripping”:

  • You meet someone briefly who expresses an interest and you don’t have time to give them much information.
  • You talk to a friend or a relative about your business and they aren’t ready to commit.
  • You have someone on your “warm list” and you’re just a bit afraid to approach them directly.
  • You do a booth at an event and come out of it with a big list of names and emails but you don’t know how to follow up with everyone.
  • Someone purchases a product and you want to keep in communication with them for future sales and referrals.
  • You take a prospect through the process and they just aren’t sure.

In any of these situations, the old-school network marketer would say “Next” and completely forget about the prospect.  But for those of you with a drip system in place, you can make sure that prospect never gets away from you.  What you’ll find is that these folks will often come back to order product, refer someone to you, or even join your business just when you least expect it.

No prospect left behind!  Just DRIP!
